What Medical Professionals Need to Know About Nutrition
Hi, my name is Jordan. I'm a junior biology major and nutrition minor on the Pre-PA track. And the reason I chose to add a nutrition minor even though I'm Pre-PA is because quickly in my sophomore year, I just did a lot of individual research on nutrition and I learned how important it is in overall healthcare. And also as a PA in the future. I'm going to be working side by side a lot of dietitians, so I thought it would be important to have a solid background in dietetics.
Hi, my name is Abby, and I'm a junior I'm a nutrition and dietetics major and I'm Pre-PA. I chose nutrition because I've always loved cooking and been really interested in the science behind food.
I chose to be a nutrition minor even though I'm majoring in biology, and want to be a physicians assistant, because I was very intrigued by the nutrition classes that Miami offered and really wanted to take them even though they did not fall anywhere within my major. I also really loved that nutrition type of system many aspects of health.
I chose to pursue a nutrition major because it's something that I've always been very interested in personally, but I also felt that it would be extremely applicable to my future career as a PA because understanding human health and diseases from a nutrition standpoint will help to diagnose a variety of different illnesses.
